the big GAY is a new definition of queerness
the big GAY is a desire realized for something more
when the little gay became all about sexual identity,
queer stepped in and said, “what about gender?”
a worthy question ‘twas in need of answers
but queer is not enough anymore,
to most it still means ‘not straight’
and it still lacks that quality of GAYness,
that joy and flamboyancy, a connection with the abundance in life
that extreme desire to express our individuality
a deep need to break out of the boxes this society puts us in
to be free with ourselves at all time
we need something bigger, a queerer gay, a gayer queer
something that brings queerness to flamboyancy and flamboyancy to queerness
we need the big GAY.
so. how do we live the big GAY, how do we bring it into our lives?
we must bring the ripe fruit of queerness back to the roots of gayness,
expand the definitions of what it means to be ourselves, to be queer people.
we open our minds to the abundant gayness in all things
and create real community from what we find.
the big GAY is an expansionist philosophy
it is collaborative, conspiratorial
it is pouring our queer minds and gay hearts
over everything we see, feel, touch, hear
feel it within and around you, and let it grow.
